My girlfriend just ended her period last week.
today we had dry sex and she later texted me that she was bleeding... is it possible for her hymen to be broke from dry sex or could it just be a continuation of her period?

Bleeding, though not common, I believe can happen during any part of the menstrual cycle, especially when coming on, or backing off on birth control.
Now, when you say dry sex, if you fingered her, it is possible, BUT, unlikely. Also, the hymen can break not just from sex. From vigorous excercise, horseback riding, and a variety of things. If she is bleeding, its nothing that bad most likely.

If there was no vaginal penetration, you are prolly safe from breaking the hymen, assuming its not already broken. Now, if you had penetrated, it would be normal to bleed.
If you didn't penetrate, its possible that she is having spot bleeding between periods. Now, I'm no woman, but I believe that is not totally out of the ordinary.

Since I don't know to "what" you are referring, heres a mini glossary:
Hymen: fragile membrane inside vagina
Vaginal Penetration: something entering the vagina
spot bleeding: VERY small and light types of periods that happen between normal monthly periods. So, nothing heavy, just light and fleeting.

I believe so. But, if she is truly worried, since I'm obviously not a woman, she can ask her mom, friends, or a doctor.

Well the vagina is pretty delicate, so if there was a lot of rubbing on or close to the opening of her vagina then it might have tore. Like a small cut from it being so dry with the rubbing. It's nothing to worry about, it will heal on it's own if that's what it is.
Also the hymen is very close to the opening of the vagina and if you penetrated even with your boxers on it could have broke.

Yes, most accurate. The hymen is a thin membrane which covers the vaginal opening. B/C it is so thin and in a vulnerable spot, it tears easily, usually before actual sex/penetration. So, perhaps your activity here caused it to break, which would also account for the bleeding. However, there's also the chance that it was previously ruptured during normal physical exertion.
If your g/f is bleeding and it's not near her mentsrual cycle, the most likely culprit is a tear or abrasion. Any part of the body will bleed if torn, she should take a look and try to identify the wound. And, if the bleeding persists or there's pain, she should tell her mom and get to a doctor who can diagnose and treat it.
