I think this goes here?
So, traditionally people would ask people they like or someone they're already with to be their valentine, but I don't really get it. Being someone's valentine isn't restricted to be between lovers or anything, right? And I think Valentines day shouldn't be the excuse to give your special someone candy or some other gift (not trying to be accusing or anything), it just seems like lots of people use it that way, like "it's Valentines day I have to get him/her something."
Personally I asked my close friends, and some of my other friends if they'd be my valentine's. I asked 2 of my teachers too lol. I'm planning to bring a few big bags of candy to school and hand out candy to them (though my closer friends get something more special), even to my friends/acquaintances that I didn't ask to be my valentine.
Anyone else ask friends or other people like that to be their valentine?
