i am about to turn 16 and have not hit puberty yet. I have very little hair next to my penis and it is not very big. My friends say dont have a deep voice at all and that is kind of annoying. It is embarassing at the beach because all my friends have hair under their arms but i have none. I am almost 16 and have no facial hair at all. Is this normal to be delayed of puberty this long? i am 5 foot 6 and 150 pounds. The height is kinda short but i am worried about my voice and hair

ive posted something similar to this but not many people replied. I am 16 and dont think i have hit puberty yet. I have very little pubic hair and no underarm or facial hair. My voice is not as deep as my friends and its kinda annoying and sometimes embarrassing. is this normal?

Please don't make duplicate threads. If one isn't posted in much after a day or so, just bump it by posting in that thread. Thanks, Nick (Shattered)

If you have hair, you have hit puberty. You are simply a late bloomer. It can be socially awkward, sure. But really, it doesn't matter. You have hit puberty, its late, yes, but you'll catch up at some point. No need to worry.

Normally you hit puberty before 16 but i think if you're getting pubic hair you should start. If nothing happens maybe it would be good to bring it up with your doctor. Im think lack of testosterone... am i right anyone?

I always hated the term 'Late bloomer', it's like the consolation prize, a gentle let down. Point is, everyone 'blooms', and like the flower metaphor, just at different times. Nature, go figure.

If youve got pubic hair then you've begun puberty. Once it starts, it progresses, just at it's own rate. If you're worried, ask your dad about his 'blooming time', these things tend to be genetically determined and run in families.
