Well your right it doesn't mean she wants a boyfriend but through my experience in life with woman she might just be confused about somethings that have to deal with you right now, or she might be stressed and confused, so it doesn't necessarily mean she doesn't like you anymore. It happens once in a while when guys and girls just don't want a relationship at the present time. Just be her friend and maybe when she wants a b/f again she will want you back.

Ahhh, nagging self doubt. Whenever we get dumped, no matter how kindly, there's this feeling that somehow we did something wrong, we're not good enough, that she doesn't like us as a result, and we feel like crud, it's a real blow to the self confidence and self esteem.

If you look at it statistically, the chances of any one particular relationship, no matter how intense, lasting 'forever' are pretty slim. That doesn't mean you're a worthless piece of man trash, it means that whatever drew you together wore off for her. People have different needs in others, and it' s thru dating that they get to see if the other person has it for them. Alas, in your case, it didn't. Her loss.
