hiya,
This is my first post in the forum so please be nice...
the past year has been intresting lots of worries/stressors/bad stuff but there has been good stuff as well...
right now all i can see is the bad stuff....i see my self as pretty rubbish....

for the past few days on and off i've been physically biting my hands......particually my thumb.....i can't seem to stop cos it just reveals all my stress...it has marked a bit and earlier there was a blister type thing which i just bit through....
i've also been denying myself sleep sounds stupid but basically i will begin to fall asleep but then open my eyes sit up and listen to music - don't know why but it's almost as if i don't think i deserve sleep....
i know i also overwork at college cos i don't think i'll get my a levels otherwise - i have at least a 2hr break everyday and yet i'll give myself morning break (20mins) then however long it takes to eat my lunch on other days - this sometimes is walking from one room to another......

thanks!

Well my advice to you would be to get some sleep. No matter what u and your body deserves to get some sleep. Also when u and ur body are really tired u can be more stressed and more "on edge" so if u get some sleep you might feel better. And my advice for the biting is to try and find something else to relieve the stress, and make sure to any wounds u have now are clean and try not to do it anymore.

biting can easily lead to worse self harm. Please.. stop now.

you *need* sleep. not sleeping makes everything that's on you become a lot worse. A lot a lot. YOu can sleep with the music on , sometimes it's calming, but try to relax ina dark enveroment. evn if u don't sleep, it's more calming then keping urself awake.

as for the college, talk to your guidence person, they should help you schedule better so you're less overwhelmed

Smart person. that minor thing can take awhile to understand... you just have to get away or control the reason why you want to start back up.

You NEED sleep. You'll feel 100 times better after a good nap.
Also, it will take your mind off of biting your hands.

Like Gywn said, even listening to some music will help you fall asleep.

You can do it, hun.
Just consider this advice before it gets out of hand.
Hope this helps :)

A WEEK?! Good job. (not sarcastically) When I first started self harming, I couldn't even go like 2 days without cutting. And trust me, you NEED sleep, and this is coming from a person with Insomnia I know what I'm talking about.
