nose piercing

I got my nose pierced yesterday and at first it was fine but now its swelling . not badly but ya and it kinda feels like its beating. i kinda played with it a bit today maybe that is why its like this. also i clean it with rubbing alchohal..should i be worried ??

Maybe a little bit, but you should clean it and look at it often just to make sure there isn't a major infection, try to not play with it aswell.

Aside from the cosmetic reasons for body piercings, your body experiences a piercing as a puncture, a wound, a trauma. So, its reacting by swelling and throbbing, there's actual tissue damage there and this is the body's response to that.

Do NOT clean with alcohol, that actually kills the delicate cells that speed healing and prevent infection. Wash with warm h2o and put a little antibiotic ointment like Neosporin on it and leave it alone.

If you run a fever or if it continues then you might have an infection, which would require oral antibiotics from the doctor.

dont play with it an clean it with water or disinfectant and watch it , it should get better if not talk to a docter

i was jsut about to say salt water lol, remember to keep turning it each day as well, and dont touch it alot as your fingers have loads of germs on them, hope it gets better :D
