Well, to start things off, for those of you who read my last injury thread, I'm fine, it wasn't serious at all, just a bad strike... had to let my shoulder rest for a bit, but it got better fast. Anyway... recently my appendix, or that area, to be more specific, has been bothering me. A couple nights ago, I got out of the shower, and it just felt like someone shot me, and I thought it was my appendix, so I started that got in my head, and I guess my brain tricked my body that it was, and I felt really faint, and really hot, but a few minutes later, it went away. It's been coming back often, but it never stays for long periods of time, only about a minute or two. I'm not sure if it is my appendix, or just that area, and I'm not sure if I should get it looked at or not... Any help here, as to what it may be, or why it's happening?

Can you tell me what side of your body it hurts on? Do you feel pain in other areas, besides that, as well?

It's the lower right part of my body-the middle of it, sort of, and no, it isn't anywhere else, just around there

It is probably NOT appendix. They wouldn't hurt and then stop and you also probably would have arrived at the hospital by now because the pain is unbearable.

The pain occurs around the abdomen. Symptoms there:

occurs suddenly, often causing a person to wake up at night
occurs before other symptoms
begins near the belly button and then moves lower and to the right
is new and unlike any pain felt before
gets worse in a matter of hours
gets worse when moving around, taking deep breaths, coughing, or sneezing

Other symptoms of appendicitis may include

loss of appetite
nausea
vomiting
constipation or diarrhea
inability to pass gas
a low-grade fever that follows other symptoms
abdominal swelling
the feeling that passing stool will relieve discomfort

Hope this helped.
