So right now I haven't been to any of my classes since Monday and apparently I won't be back this week either because of this ice storm. That's 2 weeks out of school ain't I lucky? Also since I'm in a college they don't take away spring break or tack days to the end, it's the teachers job to deal with the missed days which means cut lessons or extended ones. What's the most snow day's you guys have had?

Two weeks out of school? That is outrageous. The most we've ever had off in a row is two and the most in a school year is 3 (that I can remember). We have to make them up past one.

We have 4 available each year, and if we don't use them we get extra days off before a vacation or end of the year.
Most we've had was 2 in a row, and the most in one school year is.....5? Probably.

Snow days...I WISH.
We have to have like a foot of snow on the ground to have one and I don't think we have ever. Most we've had is like 2 inches or 3 inches (in my life time).
Right now I'm enjoying sunny and 70 weather.

In North Dakota, the only way to get a storm day is if the principle can't get out of his driveway.

Here, the snow has to be to the top of the fences to cancel school.
A couple of years ago, we got a blizzard. It dumped a metre of snow in 24 hours and cancelled school for a week.
Also, earlier that school year we got our first hurricane for a while (cat 2) and that cancelled school for a week.
Also we have had a bunch this year ( 3 days off last week )
Most Snow days= 7
Most Bad Weather days= 14
(look, its got a wikipedia article! XD http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/White_Juan )

Here, there have already been 10 weather-related closing days. Five in September because of a wind storm (knocked power out to half a million people in the metropolitan area, including all of the schools) and there were 4 last week plus yesterday for the ice storm that just rolled through. Unless the school district can get the state to forgive the days, the kids will be in school until June 5th... that's outrageous. It never goes past May 23rd. They started on August 12th.

Because my school is one of the "best/most prestigious" public schools in my state we have teachers from all over, so we get days off from school even when it doesn't snow that badly in our town... But even with that said I don't recall ever having more than four days off in a year.

This year I only had 1, Most I've had in a row 2, and most I've had in a year is 4. It takes about a meter of snow for it to be a snow day.

It seems that in the UK a snowflake will bring education to a standstill. We had about 300 schools closed in the area because of the snow this week... the colleges never close though, we are invincible :P

In the last 5 years there have apparently been 0 snow days. Apparently Canadians don't take 12" of snow on the roads seriously.

in Newfoundland, since we have all those small communities out da bay, the buses have to use the highways to bring the kids in, so if the highways are snowy, the kids cant get to school and if those bay kids can't get to school, then theres no point in opening the school. 80 snow days we had last year. many of them consecutive.

We've only ever had 1 day off. We had a half day at the start of the week but other than that we've only had one full day off.
