Everytime I close Word, PPT etc. A message says that it encountered a problem and needed to close. then it reopens. So I have to shut down my computer to get rid of a word document.
SOOoooo annoying.

I have questions! :canadian:
When did this start happening? Have you tried completely uninstalling and reinstalling the Microsoft suite? Does this happen with ANY other program? And lastly, when did you last scan your computer for malicious software?

a) I can't remember- at all. honestly I can't even remember what I ate for breakfast this morning. Not very helpfull. I guess maybe 6 weeks?!?!?!
b) I have not bothered to do this. Would that be an easy solution?
c) This happens with all microsoft office programs, and no others.
d) I think I scanned it yesterday. Right after I encountered the most poorly designed virus ever 0.0 but my cpu was clean.

You have windows vista, don't you.
It is a common problem (I noticed when I first got my comp). Over time, it began to go away as updates began to occur.

Well a re-install would be the next step to take from here.

Yes, the only thing that you can do is to try to reinstall it.
If you don't have the installation for it or don't want to bother with Microsoft anymore, you can always uninstall it and install OpenOffice.org instead (http://www.filehippo.com/download_openoffice/).

If reinstalling it dosent work if you have a previous version I would consider reinstalling that and get some tech support from microsoft..
I'm still completly satisfied with my 2003 version no problems whatsoever

Oh...wow...I've heard of it happening with Windows Vista...my bad.
Office 2007 was designed for Vista but is compatible with XP and most other systems, not sure if that could be contributing to the issue.
