Awkward Guy Trouble. help me out here

There's this guy and he's been flirting his pants off with me.(not literally)
But for a while he's been sending off every sign that he likes me. However he's going off to collage next semester, and I'm a lot younger. Not like pedophile younger, but it'll be a while before i get to collage. Our families have been friends since forever. All that would make things very awkward...

But despite all of these signs, he says that even though he called me beautiful in my sweats three times tonight, i'm wearing his hoodie that he refused to let some other girl wear, etc. that doesn't mean he likes me. I think he's just trying not to freak me out. Somehow he also worked in that he knows a lot of HS girls with boyfriends in collage, and it works out fine. So let's say I'm very confused.

Honestly, I could have a different boy for every day of the week, but I just want to know what's up, let things get into the open before he leaves.

What is it you need help with?

He's significantly, older than you, and he's going away in a few months. What? The flirting? What osmit about the attention from him that is so different for you?

There's a comfort with people we've known a long time, and sometimes that minimizes the other differences that could potentially hurt. Maybe you could split the difference here, and have him as a really good friend and enjoy him while he's still here, but set a good boundary so he's just a friend.
