I though i understood how the system worked until i saw that some people have more rep blocks and less rep power then others with less rep blocks. just wondering...also do you get more rep power when you reach 500 posts? I feel stupid but i couldn't find an answer to this anywhere....

Rep Power can be changed by post count (every 1000 not every 500), time, etc.
But that doesn't necessarily reflect on the blocks. The blocks are a direct image of how many rep points you have. So if your power goes up, it doesn't mean your rep points or blocks will go up, just that you hit 1k posts or 6 months marker.

Hokay.
Umm,
Rep Power is decided by how many rep points you have.
YOu get more rep power when you:
get 50 more rep points
when you have been a member for 200 days...or something like that
every 6 months
and every 1000 posts.
Your rep power determines how much you affect the other users' rep points. So you have 10 which means you can give 10 or take 5 from a users rep points.
Your rep blocks are decided by your rep points. Generally its every 200 points per block after your light green blocks. I don't remember for the regular green blocks.
Any specific querstions?
I hope I answered your question

When people like your post, the click the scale (http://www.virtualteen.org/forums/images/buttons/reputation.gif) and give you reputation.
The more you have, the more valuable your posts are (supposedly)
