The gun (the gun) is loaded on the counter
And there's nothing (there's nothing)
Oh there's nothing to say.

The gun is loaded, its ready to fire
Just say the word and the trigger is pulled.
No more light, no more life, everything is gone tonight...

Blood drops from the top of your skull
But the bullet pierces your left lung;
What's going on? (What's going on?)

I see it happen, happen slowly
I see the blood spatter coldly
I can see the murder wholly.

You pulled the trigger at your neck
But he pulled the trigger at your head
And no more you and no more truth...

The gun's as dead as you (as you)
The gun was alive, its true
If the gun could have spoken it would have said...

Don't pull the trigger or we'll be dead
Its like a double suicide-homicide craze,
Just let go and move on with your life...

But it's a little too late
To personify an inanimate object
That wouldn't comply if asked to...

Testify that you were alive
When he pulled the trigger,
Who would ever believe that in the end?

So I guess the end is just as well
Because with the end comes
New beginnings, and for once I realize
The light's not gone unless you close your eyes (And your eyes are open wide)

Cool poem/song! The topic isn't "cool", but it has a good meaning! Nice job!
