If you work hard enough, maybe. Admins just don't hand out jobs when they feel like it. It takes a lot of time and effort to find the right person.

I believe that you must have at least 500 posts and have been a member for 5 or 6 months.

The time and number of posts doesn't really matter. It's the quality of your posts, and how well you help people out. If you be a good, active member of the community and do your best to hep people out, then eventually you may become one if there is a position open.

Not necessarily.
I think Steph became mod before 5 months even, and Autumn did before 500 posts.
Its all about the quality.

But keep in mind, there are people here with literally thousands of quality posts, and have been here multiple years.
Its unlikely... Extremely unlikely a staff position would be handed out to a new member, regardless of past experiences, etc.
You have to prove yourself.

But if you want to become a mod somewhere straight off the bat, I would suggest joining a fairly new site that needs new active members.

Administrators look for several qualities when they try to find new staff members.

To raise your chances, you should consistently demonstrate:

daily forum activity
discipline & maturity
professionalism
comprehension of the rules
helpfulness toward other teens
a friendly attitude

If you follow through with this, you'll have a better chance of becoming a staff member in the future.
