You go up to her, open your mouth, and form the words,
"Mom, I have something I want to talk to you about."
And then it's smooth sailing from there.

What Mzor said. It's your choice, and if you're 16 you don't actually need her I don't think.. then again that depends where you live and stuff.
Also consider all the issues with circumcision, with and without. Uncut is natural.

There is really no easy way to ask to be circumsized, you will just have to ask her. If you are really nervous you could leave her a note or something. I find it easier to tell people things in notes then in person. You could also call when you know she isn't home and leave her a message on the answering machine or something. I know its uncomfortable to talk about these things with your mom but i don't think its going to be a big deal to her. You are her son she loves you and cares about you and wants you to communicate with her about these things. I am wondering why you want to be circumsized? Because if there is a good reason there is a better chance she will have it done for you. If you do not have a reason you probably should wait untill you are older because then you can have it done yourself. I personally wish i wasn't circumsized so i don't see why you would want to get it done unless you are haveing issues.

Just ask. She can only say no.

I think an appropriate move if you are comfortable with it, is talking to your doctor first. Just ask your mom to step out of the room if she's there, or your dad, whatever, but just be alone with your doctor and ask them about it. Then ask them for advice on how to go ahead with it.
