It is possible to get chlamydia, gonorrhoea, genital herpes, and syphilis through oral sex. There are others too, but less common.

You first have to consider though that one of you has to have one of these STD's to give it to the other person. Otherwise, you're in the clear.

Yeah you can get herpes or even HIV.

If you have a cut in your mouth and his HIV infected cum gets in contact with it, or if his penis has any cuts on it and some of the blood comes in contact with your cut gums, then you can get HIV.

Yes! You can get any STD (http://www.virtualteen.org/forums/showthread.php?t=35760)s from oral sex that you would get from vaginal/anal sex!
Even if he/you where a condom, you are not 100% safe!

Sumitup is talking sense here. If you're both first timers just experimenting there's no risk at all, one of you has to already have an STI to be able to pass it on. So make a judgement based on how old you both are and whether you're confident the other guy is clean. If he has an STI yes you can catch it from oral.

This is still not right.

You do NOT have to have any sexual experience to have herpes. If you've ever had a cold sore, that is herpes. I've had cold sores my whole life, long before I had any kind of sex. There is also the possibility of contracting HIV from contaminated hypodermic needles. There is also the RARE possibility you could get an STD if your mother has one during the time she gives birth to you.

Not correct.

You can get STDs from saliva (some), cuts, needles, any blood contact, and it can be hereditary.
Not only that, but you can't know for sure he is a 'first timer'

Yeah well I guess you're right. But lets be honest every guy wants his cock sucked and not when its wrapped up so its all about assessing the risk.

Yup. But...
One in five people in the United States has an STD.
Two-thirds of all STDs occur in people 25 years of age or younger.
One in four new STD infections occur in teenagers
You are fourtimes more likely to get an STD than pregnant.
Personally, I would rather not take that risk for 30 minutes of pleasure.

You never going to have sex then, never have a family? Otherwise sooner or later you're going to have to take that risk.

You shouldn't be taking risks. You need to be safe, and make sure that you and your parter are both clean.

I sure won't have oral with a guy friend that would probably lie about any STD, just for pleasure.
I plan on having sex with a girl I want to have a family with, I don't really plan on having sex for pleasure.

But anyways, if you want to debate about it more PM me. Otherwise we should be heading on topic.

It's funny how everyone is so condescending toward each other... you guys are always trying to show each other up. Aren't we just trying to give advice?

If they a sexual disease on his penis, then you can get it too, but if he hasn't got anything then don't worry.
