"Stretch marks" are caused by the gain or loss or weight, and the ensuing change in fatty deposits under the skin, which cause literal 'stretching' of the layer that is elastic. It is a permanent change.
I do not think you can eliminate them entirely, unless you go the plastic surgery or maybe botox routes, which are options when you're older if they still bother you.
Until then, there are certain creams and moisturizers that alleviate them somewhat. Speak to your mom, maybe speak to your doc about it.

These days getting rid of stretch marks aren't that big of a deal as they use to be.
These days apparently there are like a lot of creams and what not. Or like sam said, you could just go to a doctor and eliminate them.

Eucerin is a good moisturizer, I use it b/c I basically dry up and blow away on the winter, esp. since i spend a lot of time outside and don't let cold weather get in my way.
Try it, see how it works. Just don't expect immediate results, what you'll likely see is a gradual 'easing' of them.
If they really bug you, they can be surgically removed.
