It is illegal in some states, 8 last time I checked.

No deaths or injuries have been caused directly by it, however if you jump off a bridge while on it that's your own fault.

It is legal some places. In england it definitely is..

Its safe as long as you take the necessary safety precautions.. You shouldnt stand up and your friends should always be watching you. It also can be pretty harrowing. The first time I tried it I didnt have a nice experience at all. I was virtually screaming the whole trip.

It is a surprisingly powerful psychoactive herb that is smoked. It causes extremely real - to the point of being uncomfortable and disturbing for some people - trips, and is just generally pretty crazy. And it's legal in most places.

It's similar to smoking pot. Supposedly it isn't as bad for you. Mentally pot slows you a little more, but luckily it's only temporary. Otherwise side-effects are the same. You're not supposed to stand/walk/do physical activities etc, but it's no fun if you don't.

Honestly, I wouldn't waste my time on it if I were you. Just stay away from smoking the best you can (hypocritical, I know) because nothing good can really ever come of it.

Edit: Oh yea, almost forgot. It's pretty safe. :D

Its basically like a legal LSD trip.
Ive only ever done it twice. The first one was horrible I have never been so scared. The second one was pretty funny.

Safe?
Not really because you have no idea what you are going to do on your high, and probably kills cells, yaddy yaddy yadda. So not safe.

Legal, you can purchase it legally in the US if you are above 18.

Salvia doesn't kill cells. It's in the same league as DMT.

Please don't post false information.

It's legal in the UK, but it's odd stuff. Basically, you smoke it, and within a few seconds you start tripping out badly. Sometimes it can be good, sometimes bad. Wouldn't recommend it though.

Kansas
Mississippi
Missouri
North Dakota
Ohio (beginning April 5, 2009)
Oklahoma
Virginia

All of the above states = illegal.

In California you cannot sell it to minors, but minors may possess it. In Maine, you cannot sell it to minors, nor can minors possess it.

Now is it safe? It's physically harmless, but if you have mental illnesses and have a weak mind, it is not for you. The trip is generally short, but VERY intense. Be very careful. Now the things you do while tripping it a whole other story. Also make sure to have someone who is not sober babysitting you to prevent you from doing anything stupid.

Actually, I'm pretty sure it's legal to over-18's in Virginia.

My friends just bought some in a town in Ontario, So I dont know if the law has made its way across the country yet. Honestly, I wouldnt try it. Ive been with friends that have and one of my friends trip wasnt that bad, he thought his head was a bar of soap and tried rubbing himself on everything. Another one of my friends asked me to watch him just to make sure he didnt do anything stupid, which im glad I did because he thought he didnt have any skin and it was all bugs instead and was trying to get a knife to cut them off. From what Ive seen and heard, I would never try it.

http://www.Erowid.com has really given me a load of helpful information. Note that this information was sometimes illegal, and generally bad for my health. :)

If you have never done anything weaker, don't start with it. You really need a strong mind to handle drugs.

I happen to be very, very good at it. I'm also a VERY persuasive speaker while drunk. That just goes to show that each drug has a different effect on each person.

Unfortunately, you don't know very far. It is legal in Canada.

Can everyone whose posts are something to the effect of "I don't know anything but it's probably bad for you" kindly stop posting please? That's not advice, that's just you all offering opinions that you are not qualified in any way to offer.

For example:

It's similar to smoking pot.

No one who knows anything about either drug would ever say that.
