Still in love after break-up 3 yrs ago

I am and I had my first "love" in the 5th grade....now, 4 years later I am still attracted to her and feel that I cant live without her. At the end of this year, there is a HUGE chance that we will be going to different high schools. Is this just hormones or is it something special that has kept me so attracted to her?

in my oppinion it could be anything... it could be that you dont want to be alone it could be that you really do love her with all your soul or it could just be a silly crush that you refuse to forget about...but i am no expect... so all i can give you is my opinon

3 years is a long time to be still in love with an ex. So, i'd doubt that it's hormones or the like, it sounds like you cannot let go. There are a lot of possible reasons for this, some which have to do with the girl, and a lot for other reasons that are getting played out here. In any event, it sound slike it;s time to move on, and that thought gets in your way big time. Maybe it's time, then, to talk it out with someone.

Ask your mom if you had trouble letting go as a kid.

once your not constsantly around her for a while you should slowley let her go... give it a term or two... or three...

i'm totally in the same situation. its been three years, and it's gotten a little better, but i will never get over that girl. not seeing her for long terms doesn't work because when i see her again, it all comes rushing back. it sucks but i deal with it
