I didnt know where to put this, feel free to move. Ok in my dream, I was at school going to the bathroom with one of my friends, and there was this little boy following us. (I had a previous dream with him and my friend in it.) He wasnt really much of a bother, so he followed us. I slipped in a puddle and fell, then I got up and opened the door and a teacher was standing face to face with me in a pitch-black bathroom. She walked off like we werent there. We walked into the bathroom and I got out a knife-thing and started cutting the little boys arm! He was screaming "Yes!" (I think for pleasure maybe) Anyway, I made three sorta deep scars and like a light came from under his arm and then like he dissapeared.

Most of the time dreams are simply that - dreams. However, they can be influenced by things such as feelings, emotions, things you have done or seen in the past, or things you want. Could this be any of those?

I don't know your situation right now, but looking at some of your posts recently it seems that you are a cutter, but are doing well with it. This dream may be a way of your body telling you that it feels the need of cutting... if this is the case, don't. Whatever you do, do not resort to that. Not when you're doing so well.

Only you can really tell what this is about, so think about it for a while. Think about any stress, bad feelings, etc. you've had in the last while and see if you can figure out if this dream meant anything... or if it was simply a dream.

This is just a random thought, but have you been abused?

Cutting is often related to abuse, it's the mind's way of dealing with the trauma of having been physically/sexually/emotionally violated.

Anyway, I think the dream means that you want/hope/expect someone in authority to be made aware of your self destructive urges (or maybe the *stuff* that's causing it) and help you. In the dream, that person, the teacher (the symbolic authority figure) walks in and ignores it all. As a result, there's a cutting episode.

Listen, i really like the idea of you talking with your therapist about all these behaviors and urges, as well as the dreams, so she can help you resolve them. But until, and while, you're working on it, remember that dreams are just that, dreams. However scary, they are not real and not at all predictive of what will happen during daylight hours. You have the control over that!
