Why do you do drugs?

I keep seeing questions like this in another fourm cause people don't understand so Ima post one here cause I don't get why people do drugs, I don't understand it?

Why do people go on rollercoasters...or goto parties?
Why do people listen to music?
Why eat chocolate?
Why do people exercise?
Why do people have sex?

All of these things are some of the feelings you can get from drugs. People don't do them because they want to be cool. If you take them you understand, it's like asking someone who cuts why you cut? You can't really put your finger on an exact answer, but most of society looks down on you and it's kind of hidden away.

The simple answer would be...Why do people drink? Because it's fun.

My answer would be...I like to try things, because i won't really want to be doing them when im older, i want to try and see what the body can feel, explore my mind and help grow a more diverse open minded personality, drugs have opened my mind, i wouldn't be the way i am now, and thinking the way i do now if it wasn't for drugs.

They are illegal, but they do jsut the same as alcohol, afterall alcohol is a drug just as much as heroin is a drug. Just illegal drugs give different feelings, or similiar but better or worse feelings than alcohol, it really depends on the indiviudal.

You might aswell call drug users psychonaughts, afterall we are venturing into the most complex and enlightening aspect of your whole life, your brain and body.

im probly going to be like my dad. he took drugs but he never really got out of sync with himself like the commercials try to explain it. to him it was as harmless as masterbation. he gave my some good advice: drugs arnt that bad, i know your gonna try them, but dont do to much, dont keep doing it, and dont do acid. acid was the only drug he od-ed on and he just got the effects that people experience after one trip

If you want to try drugs then weed(cannabis) is probably safest, shrooms(majic mushrooms) are dangerous cos they could be poisonous so watch out, dont even try coke,speed,acid,LSD and anything like that and most importantly
Watch out for skag (heroin) it is sick,horrible, easy to OD on and really disgusting!

Oh of course not, but it doesn't mean to say that - If you try heroin, crack or any hard drugs, your life is down the drain and you will end up dead.

That's simply not the case, sorry if anyone doesn't like truth. Infact most heroin users suffer from some form of mental illness - could it be that certain personailities, and individual brains could be wired to taking drugs, the scientific evidence says so.

Drugs are not the real problem in drug abuse. It's the person. Someone has to have a certain type of personality, and have built a belief system, and a network of friends, which believes in seeking pleasure.

People with addiction prone personalities, are not addicted to drugs because of the drugs. If that was the case, everyone who tried any drug, would be a chronic addict. They were addicted from birth.

Taking the drugs away, or saying they are bad, will not work for addictive, impulsive people, who are just seeking pleasure. People who have an addictive personality want to feel pleasure, health issues come second to pleasure.

Get it through your thick skull. People will use drugs. Telling people facts about them good or bad, will not change their mind. Nor will telling them not to use drugs.
