It could well have been caused by you being nervous about it. The more you do it you will get used to it and you wont think anything of it.

You may also feel a bit of discomfort because you didn't insert the tampon perfectly. It shouldn't hurt, but it probably feels as though....you have something up there, correct?

As you have more practice you will be able to insert them easier and you won't even be able to tell that you are wearing one.

That is because you probably didn't put it far in.. if it's not in properly you will feel like it and make you uncomfortable. Having it there is irritating, so that is probably why you got nauseous. (if can even give you fevers).

next time you put one on, just push it a little deeper in.

Hope that helps.

This may sound a little stupid, but, you are having your period, right? I know someone who thought it'd be easier to use a tampon for the first time when she wasn't on... She ended up with a yeast infection, I think. And she was lucky that it wasn't worse!

It could be a couple of things. Something that hasn't been mentioned is if you're not using one for your flow. For example, they're thicker for heavier flows and if your flow is only light [and you use a thicker one] that would probably cause discomfort.

Themost likely thing would be that it wasn't inserted properly- but that's already been said :)

well i was using the lightest absorbency and yeah your right it was prob because i didn't put it in far enough
but when itook it out it hurt
like it was pinching me or something?
and its not because i didnt leave it in long enough because it was full. why did it hurt? is that normal?

You can usually tell when a tampon is ready to come out because you pullon it gently, and it starts to slide out, easily.

If it didn't come out too easily, then it might not have been time to take it out. Or, might have pulled on some of your skin without realising, that would be like a pinching sensation. Or, it might be because you're quite tight.

most likely you did not put it in right. did you read the directions?? and you may have just gotten dizzy because of being nervouse. talk to a doctor or your mom about it. or someone you can trust!
