I new here and I just found out how to post. I have a serious question. I find a few boys at my school attractive. They are in the same grade as me and the same age. But then again I find girls attractive. I know that no one would accept me if I said that I was gay or bi. Is this a phase that I'm going thorugh? I'm 15 years old. Has anyone else gone through this?

Thanks

My guess is that in light of your being in puberty and wondering how you are developing in relation to other boys you are curious as to how they look. Also, when you see features on boys you like for yourself, such as hairy legs, muscles, etc., then you will be attracted to those features. There is a big difference between finding folks attractive and actually wanting to start an emotional relationship with them. None of us can get in your head and tell you for a fact what you are feeling, but my view is that you are just admiring features you want for yourself as opposed to actually wanting to have a relationship with a guy.

As for your sexuality, in the end of the day that is a private matter, and it is no one else's business but yours and your partner's. If you live in an environment where it is not gay/bi friendly, then don't come out for now if you know for sure you are bi. You can be yourself when you go to college which is only three years off anyway.

In short, I think you are just having hormones, and don't worry about your feelings too much.

Thanks for your input. I don't really want to start a relationship with these boy. I just find that they have a nice butt and they are good looking. I find wrong doing it. But so be it.

OK, this is THE most asked question by guys, so you are clearly not alone. It's been a while since I've answered one, so here goes Version 3.0. Tell me how it works, OK?

Puberty is a time when there's a massive increase in sexual hormones, which affects thoughts, feelings, and judgement, not just physical development! There's a resulting preoccupation with sexual things, and it seems as if just about anything or everything can be sexual, or sexually arousing. It's pretty powerful stuff. That's b/c the hormones affect your brain and the way it functions.

Sexual identity is much different than arousal or attraction, it's no so much about arousal, what gives you an erection, but what's 'inside', how you experience yourself and others, your feelings.

It's Ok and fairly common to recognize and be aroused by others of your gender, not so much b/c of your emerging sexual orientation, but rather b/c hormones really do mess with your mind, they affect judgement and feelings. But, aside from that, the rest of your senses work, like your eyes. Noticing a good looking guy doesn't really mean much of anything other than the fact that your eyes work, and that you have good taste.

Give it time, don't jump to conclusions, and it will all become clear to you as everything settles down. FWIW, most guys have same sex thoughts and fantasies, and about 50% of them actually act on them with another guy. But, since we know that half the male population isn't gay, there's a lot of sex thought, fantasy, and play that's considered normal.

i think it could be hormones by going through puberty at your age yo can find basically anything attractive but on the other hand you could be a bi as other people have said give it time try not to do anything stupid
