Don't they just cheer you up. No-one could ever make me feel as happy and safe as when i get in and my cats are waiting for me to fuss them. Or when i get to my BF's and i cuddle his dog :) Sounds weird but i swear its magic lol

Anyone else think the same?

Whenever i'm upset (which has been more and more lately..), my old fattie (cat) will start incessantly purring and rubbing up against me until i smile..
my kitten is too hyper to do this, but still.. she still manages to make me happy

My dog.. well she's about my size, i don't let her get cuddly

I would be totally lost without my dog, he's named Reuben and he's a black labrador.
I love all dogs I guess! I'm kind of a dog lover :)
But yeah, whenever I'm sad, I just cuddle up to Reuben and he cheers me up. They're very clever as they can sense what mood you're in, and they're very good listeners :P

I completely agree. When I learned my grandpa died, like, a year ago, I immediatley went upstairs and grabbed my dog. Very comforting.

Oh, I absolutely agree with you, I adore my dog, I could not imagine life without them (or other critters). In their simple humanity they remind us of our own.

everytime after i cut il go outside and my kittens will run up and cuddle against my legs
it kinda makes me happy thinking atleast someone loves me
then when im down or depressed my dads dog will run up and sit at the foot of my bed until i tap it then shel hop up on it and lay right next to me

Pets are the best way to cheer people up! If ever i'm feeling down I go and sit or lay down with my cat, very relaxing and always makes me happy again.

Well i'm happy as sin at the moment. I'm doing work experience at a cat shelter. Spending all day around small fluffy kittens has done me a treat. :) Just wish i could give them all a home.

Pets really do have an amazing healing quality. Dogs in particular are very attuned to picking up human emotions. One of my old therapists practiced with his dog in his office. I believe it has its own genre of psychology. It is extremely helpful when going into a session to have a sweet animal cuddle up to you :)

I agree. Pets can be an EXCELLENT quick cure to sadness. They just seem to never be sad and they are always happy and that happiness is contageous.

I would say that pets are THE BEST FREAKING CURE FOR SADNESS EVER!!!!! I have a small dog named woody and he is my favorite "person" in the entire world! Except my GF. (Sorry Faith!)
