Since I broke my arm I have been on painkillers (Tylenol #3 with Codine) and I was wondering if it would make me a druggy if I took them during the time I was in a half-cast?

Well, you'd be a 'druggy' if you took painkillers for recreational purposes, that is, when you weren't in real pain. You would be using them for a purpose they weren't intended for. So, if the cast comes off and you're in real, unbearable pain, then you should take them. If not, you're done.

Well whenever I ask my grandparents to get rid of them they say no they need them

Well if they're not some extra strength or something they can be used for when you're sore or something. I know lots of people that will just take a normal dose of ibuprofen or something when they sprain an ankle or work out too much.

As previously stated, you're only a druggy if you take them when it's unnecessary. It sucks getting addicted. And pain pills are not good for you when you don't need them.
