Now, I've only recently come up with this plot, so I could use all the criticism I can get.
"A scientist finds a new flower in Africa, and finds that all the animals in the area are living a lot longer, and the only thing different from the rest of the habitat is this flower, so he brings some of the flowers back to do some tests, but the company funding all of the research in the lab he works at, stops funding for the research on the flower, so in a desperate move he tests it on himself, but something goes terribly wrong and he starts mutating into a lizard."
Now, I'm trying to come up with an idea for what could have gone terribly wrong, to turn him into a half man half lizard... I was thinking something along the lines of 'a clumsy assistant screws up somehow' but you can tell me your ideas if you like.
