Help!

i have this friend that now and then asks me if i would miss him if he kills himself, of course i always say yes but this time he is seriously considering killing himself and crap i know firsthand how someone killing himself can affect a family ( one of my cousins comitted suicide) and i really dont know what to say to him anymore…… HELP!

There are some things that you need to say and do in this situation. Make sure that he knows that you care and that you're willing to listen. Don't rely on reassurance to bring the best outcome in this situation, though. Do tell someone that can help him, whether that's his parent or guardian, a counselor at your school (if you both attend the same school,) or, if it comes down to it, call 911 and send them to his house. Honestly, he could get mad, but when he's still here in a week or two, and he begins to find his smile again, he will thank you and realize how great you are as a friend. :)

Oh, anytime you suspect someone is in real physical danger Ilike suicide) tell your folks, tell his folks, call 911. Easy.

Talk to him about his problems, why he's sad, offer advice, give more than reassurance. But as IAMSAM already stated, if he becomes physically endangered call the police. He probably won't be happy with you, but he'll thank you in the long run.

Another thing would be to talk to his parents soon, now if you can. Tell them that he never needs to know that you told them, and they really need to get into it.
