I dont think they can see them online.
You can check how many, and what number they are from, but (at least with my carrier) you can't see the actual txts.
That would be a complete invasion of privacy anyways.

Yeah, there is no way then can see the actual messages without looking on your phone.

Text messages can be viewed online with parental controls on depending on your service provider. Even still, logs of the text messages sent and recieved by your phone can be requestion by your parents from the service provider at any time no matter what, even if you delete the messages in your inbox and sent folder.
Like, seriously, they keep that text information forever ._.

OK so you updated us... You have Verizon.
I do too, and I know that at least online, you can only see the number of txts, and who sent them. Not the actual txt.

Actually you have to get a court order to have texts looked at. I know this because I asked Verizon for a fre4ind of mine who was worried about his parents looking at who and what he is texting.

Ah interesting. And I find that odd with Verizon; how you can only view the number of texts sent, because I know for fact that you can see the actual text with AT&T.

No, no you cant.
If they keep records, you need a court order, and they will only grant someone one if you are accused in illegal activity.

Yes, you can. Not all service providers are the same. If you are the account holder of a family plan with AT&T, you can view any added lines' texts online.
Believe what you want, though, as it has been said already that his parents can see his texts anyway.

He's right. All service providers log everything. They must so that anything can be tracked. And to be sensible about it, you can assume that they keep everything on file for at least a month, though probably far, far longer.
Most plans wouldn't be able to view this data, but I'm sure that it would be available to the owner of the account if they purchased an additional, relative service (such as parental controls). There are agreements that are understood by both parties whenever the service is purchased or changed in some way. If the service provider doesn't have a problem sharing that information with the account holder, then there's nothing stopping them from doing so.
The only way someone would need a warrant for that is if the service provider doesn't want to share that information.
Also, Dray, there's no way for you to control what goes on in their log files. The only thing you can do is to delete the text messages from your phone and hope that your parents don't see these certain messages. Also, be smart and do not text anything that you don't want your parents to see.
