I've been wondering this since I was 11 when I started puberty. What in puberty makes you explode in anger Just like that? Hormones or something else?

It is usually the hormones that cause the anger as you are getting an abnormally high amount of testosterone in your body which causes the aggression. However, as you work your way through puberty the feelings of aggression will subside as your hormone levels even out. For the time being you just have to be careful and come up with strategies on what to do when you get mad. For example, get a tennis ball and use it as a stress ball by squeezing on it when you get mad. Also, investing in a punching bag or doing something to get your mind off your anger is your best bet.

hormones basically.

you have levels of hormones in your body and during puberty they just go up and down because of the changes your body is having. This can cause mood swings and other strange things you might not be used to.

It's completley normal.

I suppose there are differing opinions on this, mine's a bit different.

I think hormones as the cause for everything that ails you in puberty is an easy but often incorrect explanation. Sure, the presence of increased testosterone can have an effect on you, but let's also remember that you also have the brains to manage it. That's why everyone in puberty isn't out of their minds, b/c they still have their minds. Those that don't typically respond not so much just to testosterone, but to a lack of self control, willpower, discipline, and the other functions I'll loosely refer to as 'cognitive abilities'. These abilities have been there all along, you've been learning them and practicing them for a long time. Some people are just better at it than others, and those differences become more pronounced in puberty b/c all of the extra demands of being a teenager, one of which is biological (testosterone).

If you find that you cannot control *whatever*, don't blame (excuse?) it on puberty, rather, consider the probability that the real culprit is a lack of learned (and well practiced) cognitive skill set, which can (and should) be learned.

You'll have a body full of testosterone forever, the effects don't 'disappear' just with age, you have to learn how to manage yourself.
