Well, if you just want to burn more calories, then you'll need to exercise. But not just because the exercise itself burns calories... if you put on muscle, that muscle mass requires more calories to sustain itself. So someone with a lot of muscle mass will burn more calories just sitting there than somebody with a lot of fat, or even someone who's skin and bones.
It won't speed up your metabolism necessarily, but drinking enough water will make sure your body metabolises food properly.
And if you want to throw your metabolism straight down the tubes, possibly permanently ruining it or at least slowing it down a fair bit in the long run, that is what an eating disorder will do.

Most people talk about having "naturally" slow metaolisms or fast metabolisms, however, your metabolic rate isn't fixed.
It changes depending on [gender,] age, weight, climate, season, the amount and type of food that your diet consists of and your activity levels.
If you are eating healthily and excercising regularly, there is no need for you to try and change the speed of your metabolism.

Eat a tiny bit of chocolate or something before you go to bed. Eat a large breakfast.
Those are two things that give people lots of energy, and are proven to increase your metabolism.
