Hi, I know this isn't completely puberty related, but I am/have been in a hotel for the last week, with my step sister, and step brother and his 4 friends. He and all of his friends are between the ages 17-18. Well we all went to the pool, and when we got out to take a shower/change they were all very private with them self's, and had a few towels around each of them and kept up looking around to see if anybody was looking, and they took for like ever doing that and I (usually very nervous in change rooms and I am the one who usually covers up) just take my shorts off, walk over to the shower, get out, get dressed and they were all like looking at me, and I felt kinda weird because I don't know if they were just in shock, or they were checking me out. Is this normal? Are most guys (teens 13-20) usually like that or are they just really self conscious?

Well, everyone's a bit different about these things, but i think you're handling this so much differently caused the reaction.
Typically, people tune into the prevailing norm and sorta adapt, they do what everyone else is. You didn't, which caused the reaction. Next time, consider recognizing what's going on and follow suit.

Umm...well it depends on the age group and their personalities.
Obviously they were a bit surprised how open you were. They may take that as a positive or negative thing. Either way I think that guys are always and always will be subconsious about themselves. However, it depnds on how open they are if they are comfortable with going nude in front of others.
So...just let it roll off your shoulders, dont be too concerned about it and how they perceive you.

Well If I were one of them 17 year old kids (i am 17) i would probable be underwent about it.
Id say, yea I wouldn't do that but I'm not going to make a big deal over thins if he wants to walk around swinging his noodle around whatever.
I'd be like yea okay thats not something id do so im just going to get changed and leave now and not really think about it.
Its complicated to describe but in short they prpbably dont care
