I'm turning 14 soon, and I've noticed a few months ago (before I discovered this forum) that the right side of my scrotum is larger (drops lower) than the left. I've seen drawings on puberty101.com, and apparently it is supposed to be like that. But why?

B/c one testicle is a bit larger and hangs a bit lower, so the scrotum needs to accomodate that by being a bit lopsided.
Normal. Welcome to puberty.

In that case, why is one testicle larger than the other?

I think it's about packaging efficiency, putting them one below the other, allows one to be a bit bigger, and not have them knock into eachother.
You only need one to make all the stuff you need, the other's an extra, so why not make one a bit bigger?

it just is. My balls used to be equal, but when I hit puberty, one became really big and one quite small

well one testicle hangs lower then the other simply because they don't want to be knocking into eachother, and one might grow bigger because, well, because it can. it has the room.

One doesn't HAVE to be larger then the other but can be.
You have to check for lumps though in case you have cancer / cysts etc!
