Hey my bro is asking if he has puberty

This is him in his own words:

"Hello, i am a 10 years old male my penis has been getting really hard sometimes for no reason well before i really noticed it happened at school for no reason at all, and a few days ago when i went to the computer shop i got it and i found nothing in the computer shop sexually execiting,

Is this puberty? Also my ball sac hangs low : /
At normal my penis is like 2cm but when erect 5Cm

Am i going threw puberty?"

I think he is starting to get it lol

EDIT: I changer side to : 2 cm - 5 cm because he checked how big it was today

Ummm, he's getting sexual feelings and emotions down to the hormones. So it proves that there are some there, so I guess he's in the very early stages of puberty. And I mean very early. Even if your not going through puberty you still get feelings and aroused by sexual things...but he's not started the physical side of puberty yet.

His ball sack hangs low? Your ball sack 'drops' when in the womb so that means nothing.
Because of the size of his penis..I'd say no actually he's not started puberty properly yet, but he's on the way. As are most 10 year olds.

Puberty can start at 10, the first sign (at any age) is testicular enlargement (which many/most guys don't notice). A bit later come the frequent erections, as so on. So, based on the description you're providing, i'd say your 'brother' has begun!

are you sure it's Centimetres? 1 cm = 1 thumbnail length. are you sure he doesn't mean inches? anyways.

it sounds like he's hit puberty. and his scrotum will hang low or be tight to his abdomen from temperature, not puberty.

Yes, sounds completly normal. And you can't have or catch puberty, it's a phase you go through. Sorry, I'm a grammar snob.

I agree with the others that your brother is in the very early stages of puberty as it is both a mental and physical process. I am guessing your brother's mental puberty has started in light of his being interested in things of a sexual nature. His physical puberty probably is not too far off though it seems like he has not started that side of puberty. The tell tale signs of physical puberty are usually, but not limited to, increased body size, pubic hair, body hair, and a boy's first ejaculation.

Perhaps the two links from the Department of Health and Human Services can help you:

Pretty much he has just started puberty I'd guess.

I would guess his hormones are gearing up at this point, but if he has no outward signs of puberty such as hair or increased size then I would probably say that he has not started physical puberty, yet. As the others correctly mentioned, starting puberty at 10 is definitely not unusual, and perhaps he is on the verge of starting. If his penis size has increased significantly over a short period of time, then I would guess he is in puberty. I am inclined to say the kid is in puberty because of his testicles lowering and his frequency of erections.

Without seeing the kid it is kind of hard to tell you with certainty over the internet what is going on with him. If your brother is really interested about whether or not he has started physical puberty, then I think your best bet is talking with your family doctor who can use objective medical standards to ascertain his status.

You can't tell. We can't tell. You just don't know with these things it's too hard to tell.

I expect he will have some by the time he's 12, but the amount is yet to be distuingshed. But tell him to not worry, and not think about it. Just let it happen naturally and watch it. He doesn't need to keep wondering how big this will be, if hair will grow there.

It really doesn't matter...but I hope he's a bit clearer on puberty now.

He's worried about starting late???
Well he shouldn't...there's no problem about starting late, and he's not going to as he's on the way.

He's only 10!!! Tell 'him' how young he is, there's LOADS of time...
