im just wondering if this statement which i heard is right,
the more u shave the quicker the hair grows
does this mean that if i leave the hair to grow longer it wont grow back as fast

I've heard this too. And I believe hearing once that this is a total myth and isn't true.
You could test it I suppose....but doubt your theory will work. As hair growth is down to several factors, hormones etc...
So no, sorry. :-)

Totally false.
Hair is actually not alive, it's the hair follicles in the skin that are alive and that create the hair shaft. When you shave/cut hair, you're removing dead cells (the hair), they don't know they're being cut (obviously), so they can't signal the follicle to regenerate the hair.
A lot of guys seem to think it grows in thicker, because either they've forgotten what it look/felt like (as it takes a while to grow in, and when it does, it looks puny for a while), and/or in the intervening time, they've developed sufficiently so that they're actually growing more/darker/thicker hair. Biut, this is due to the progression of puberty, rather than the act of shaving.

Untrue. I think people think this because when it grows back, it's all the same length, making it appear fuller.

It is a total myth the your pubic hair grows back faster thicker and longer. To be honest your pubic hair actually grows slower than the rest of your hair.

It's False. the only reason you may think it would grow back thicker is because you've developed more since you last shaved so you would have more regardless in that amount of time.
