London welcomes 2009 in style!!!

Hardy revellers braved freezing temperatures last night to throng the streets and ring in the New Year.
Huge crowds gathered in London and Edinburgh despite fears many would stay away because of the credit crunch - and the weather.
Spectacular fireworks displays lit up the night sky across Britain after celebrations across the world as 2009 rolled in.

I watched the fireworks on TV, the finale was brilliant. I'm going to London for this year!

Edinburgh has a hugeeee one as well, biggest in Europe I think but yeh London will probs have huge displays over the next few years and definitely one for Olympics!

Edinborough always has a big fireworks display....the castle helps with the atmosphere to.

Just found the London one on BBC, far better than Edinburgh's, I thought they would do one like that for 2012!

lol, and I should think it will be bigger in 2012 when the olympics are here, the Chinese Fireworks were pretty friggin' awesome!
I watch the fireworks for about five minutes on BBC One then went upstairs to see the ones on animal crossing Lets go to the city.
