Lately one of my best friends has been noticing I don't eat much anymore.

I don't eat breakfast most of the time, if i do only like once a week. I don't pack a lunch and i don't buy lunch at school because my family has big financial problems, so a we don't have enough money to buy lunch, or to have enough food for me to bring a lunch. When we do have food, i just don't pack a lunch because i'm used to not eating. one of my friends buys me something, like a cookie or something like that sometimes. When i get home, i don't eat anything because i have to practice my french horn, and if we eat before playing sometimes food gets into the horn, and that would be bad. At dinner, we eat late because my dad doesn't get home until around 8 because he always goes to the bar, and my mom doesn't think its right to not eat with him, even though we don't eat anywhere near each other. i eat probably around 5 bites of whatever we have for dinner, because thats all i get.

i'm also over-weight because when i was 7 and my dad got fired, we went on food stamps and i ate all of the time. then we had to get off of food stamps and free lunch at school, but i just kept eating and eating everything we had in the house. then my brothers and my parents started calling me fat and i just kept eating because they were being mean to me, and it was hurtful. then we moved, and i just stopped eating because we didnt have any food at all.

i'm 13, and 195 lbs. i've been that weight since i was 10 i think, and i've just gotten into this habbit of not eating, and i'm not losing a pound.

now remember, i dont really care about my weight because i have friends who love me for me, and i don't care what people think. i just dont eat much because we dont have any food because of financial issues. i just wanna know i should worry or whatever.

Not eating because of financial issues is not an eating disorder. An eating disorder is a psychological problem where someone feels that they must do anything necessary to lose weight at all cost. you literally said "I dont reall care about my weight' that is quite the opposite to someone with an eating disorder.

Well, whatever you want to call this, it is a problem, b/c you're not getting proper nutrition.

So, the task is to get on a better diet, one's that balanced and regular. It sounds like it's been more difficult b/c of historical factors (like financial issues and activities and such), but eventhough, you can probably do a better job of eating more nutritious food, and more regulalry. And, if you want to take the weight off, consider adding some exercise, too.

Going just by that I'd say it's more circumstancial than EDish... BUT I would like to say that when you are in denial, it is easy to blame circumstance... Also, sometimes, losing weight isn't recognised as a goal until you're getting even more restrictive. Another thing is that you did have a problem with the overeating. You ate because you were bored / upset / hurt? And after gaining loads of weight, you're losing it through circumstance?

You may have a problem. But if it honestly is down to your financial situation, there are places that offer help for young people. In the UK, we have young people help centres like Connexions and No Limits. As well as youth hostels. I don't what's available to you, in your area, but browse around and find out.
