If you own a 30GB zune, go take a look at it. Im sure you will be surprised. Microsh!t has done it again! Any and all 30GB Zunes where crippled last night.
*Glances at still working iPod Touch*
Just thought I would inform you all, I dont have one, but I thought this was an important message. It seems to only affect the 30GB model.
Complaints on the Zune forums (http://forums.zune.net/403986/ShowPost.aspx)
I learned about this here (www.ipodtouchfans.com) by the way.

You make it sound like it's dead for good, it's only gonna be un-able to use for 12 hours, after noon today (Jan 1. (GMT)) All Zune 30GB's will be back up and running like they always were. The only reason this happened is because the drivers for the internal clock inside the Zune 30GB, couldn't handle coming out of a leap year. (Because drivers for the clock, and the clock itself were only designed to work 365 days per year, not 366. :p)
Microsoft had no way of knowing that the Zune would act this way, since the Zune has never passed through a leap year (Until now), and they plan to fix it before the 2012 leap year.
More info here: http://forums.zune.net/412486/ShowPost.aspx
And the method on how to fix it here: http://www.zune.net/en-us/support/zune30.htm

Even more info here: http://forums.zune.net/408989/ShowPost.aspx

BTW, yes, I am a Zune 30 owner. I already have my battery drained and am waiting for noon today so I can plug it back in to feed my constant need for music. :)
