Ipod touch battery life

my ipod touch 2g battery life sucks.. Especially when playing games ( 30 mins max). For video i get maby 2 hrs and for audio i get 6 hrs in awake mode. Ive tried everything thats on the apple site and even got the bat replaced! Does anyone have a Special way to help preserve my ipod touchs battery life??

the life on my touch sucks too
I keep mine plugged into my FM transmitter that charges at the same time thank god

You can buy 3rd party external batteries for the touch and phone
try one of them

I didn't think they made Touches in 2GB i thought the smallest was 8

My 1G touch seems to last ages.. I get about 20 hours of music out of it, 4 or 5 hours when surfing the web or watching a film or using apps.

My battery life sucks too. Except when it is in red it seems I can pump out a lot of time.

To save battery turn off that auto brightness thing. Turn down your brightness and when you can turn off wi-fi.

Well... You can try turning down the brightness or turn it off while listening to music

Since you've had the iPod, have you cycled the battery often? (Letting it die completly the charging it completly)
Li-ion batterys need to be cycled often to get the most battery life out of them. If you keep them fully charged, they will lose life.
A Li-ion battery that isn't cycled often, can lose up to 25% of it's total battery life if kept at a fully or partially charged state in one year.

I fully charge it then let it go to 10-20%..
