Cutting With Others

I was just wondering something after a question my doctor asked me.
He asked "Do you ever cut in a group?"
At the time I was thinking that he was completely mental because I had never even though about it.
But I was wondering, do people actually do that?

I have heard of people that do, if you cut I will cut agreements with the intention tohelp suppport and stop someone and show them what its like to watch a friend hurt themselves like that. This kind of thing rarely EVER works


Cutting personally with other people I have never done and would never ever want to. That sounds practically masochistic to me.

I've never cut in a group, personally. But I would cut with one other person, female, in an intimate, personal situation (which it would have to be because self-harm is very intimate and personal). Don't know who that person would be because I've never met anyone who might be OK with something like that; nor have I been in the type of situation where something like that would happen.

I get the feeling it would be a bit like sex with a close friend. Meaning you would see each other the next day and it would either be totally awkward or it'd be something that made you feel even closer to one another.


I would also be interested to know if anyone ever has done it in a group, or with one other person, and what their experience of that situation was.

I've done it ONCE. with my best friend at the time.
i was really messed up at that point though, and was doing lot of exctacy.
we agreed it would be our LAST time cutting and we would quit after this so we both cut ourselves "one last time".
