Does anyone have tips on dealing with wet dreams? I've noticed that they occur more frequently when I don't j/o.

masturbate

If you don't your body has to expel it somehow
You can't abstain from ejaculation anymore than you can decide not to piss anymore

Its hard on your body as well a wet dream is a last ditch decision your sub-conscious makes
Like you can't hold your breath until you die, You WILL take a breath underwater right before drowning, you can't willingly bite into your tongue kinda thing

Its not healthy anyway dude
You'll have allot more boredom boners and they'll last allot longer
The less you ejaculate the higher your risk of prostate cancer
etc...

What do you mean by it's hard on your body? I wasn't trying to stop ejaculations, I was just wondering how others dealt with wet dreams.

Most guys I know don't have wet dreams because they masturbate, like me. You voluntarily get rid of sperm. Wet dreams are your body's way of saying that you have too much and have to get rid of some.

Like Camazotz said its your bodies way of getting rid of to much, so if you masterbate more then you wont have wet dreams.

I have never had a wet dream, primarily because I have always masturbated. But if you have trouble trying to clean up a wet dream, you could just but a bunch of tissues in your underwear or something??

Of course, the larger issue is why you're abstaining.

The sex drive (which causes the urge to masturbate) is natural, normal, and perhaps most importantly, biologically determined, like any other bodily urge and function. Like sweating on a hot day, it's automatic. Purposely 'abstaining' is likely to prove difficult and frustrating, so do not get discouraged, and most importantly, do not confuse the act of masturbation (or having wet dreams) with that sex drive. Although you might have some misgivings about the behavior of masturbation (which I'd encourage you to take a look at and maybe reevaluate), being sexual is not only normal, it's desirable. At some point in your life, you will want it there, and if you've spent your adolescence trying to turn it off or deny it, it might be very difficult to turn back on and enjoy (studies show that people who come from either overly restrcitive, guilt inducing families, or those that are overly permissive have the most sexual problems in later life!).
