Perfectly safe if you know what you're doing.. I've jailbroken mine and it's easy to put it back to factory settings, warranty still there.

It is safe, but do note that no matter what you see elseware, the Second Generation iPod Touch CAN NOT be jailbroken yet. Dont try anything you see in youtube videos if you have a new iPod Touch, if its one of the old ones, use QuckPwn. :)

And if you have a Mac, dont upgrade to 10.5.6, it makes it so iTunes doesnt recognize an iPod in DFU mode. :(

All you need to do is leave the thread, then it will fall down the list and no-one will reply. Also editing your first post isn't helpful to others searching the forum for the same question.
