alright i have this crush on this guy and we talk normally i guess i mean we smile at each other and say hi in the hallway and stuff...soooo the problem is that i dont know if he likes me or not

my friend says that he always looks at me and shows off in front of me when im there

but for some reason im a little shy with him
i dont know what to do.....a little help???

well, from a guys perspective i would say that if he shows off and smiles at you its a reasonable assumption to make that he has some interest in you. the thing is, you need to make the first move here. i know you said you are shy around him, but maybe a little bit of flirting back might make things clearer for you by judging on his reaction to your flirting. and also, there is nothing wrong with a girl asking a guy out, so if you want to take the leap, or feel confident enough to take the leap, then maybe you could ask him out? the bottom line is that i think you need to make a move, be it subtle or not.

Guys are as shy as you are, maybe more so, that dreaded 'rejection anxiety' thing we all have going. So, you might be picking up on his liking you, as well as the effects of the fear of rejection. Give some sense that you're interested and available and see what happens.
