My freind is starting to get "Man boobs" He's not fat or anything but's starting to get chubby in the chest area. is this normal or should he be concerened?

Yes, 'boy boobs' are normal (and mercifully, temporary!), caused by all those hormones. they can result in tenderness and/or swelling of either or both breasts. Not permanent!

Well considering the fact that breasts (larger) are usually for girls, your friend must have gynacomastia which basically is a "condition". The way to avoid that and make them manly is to diet and work out. For instance, a bench press works that area.

I wouldn't say it is normal either since not everyone finds it acceptable or has it. So ya. thats my take on it,

I read in a puberty book thingy that its caused by a certain amount of hormones (estrogen i cant really remember the name) usually found more in girls rising that encourages boob growth, but its usually only temporary.

This may not be the same thing, but I used to have tenderness under my nipples. Eventually it went away, though.
