why does everyone care if someone sees them naked? we have all seen naked boys/girls. and why do our parents not want us to see naked people our age? to me it seems kinda stupid cause almost everyone has already seen someone of the same/opposite sex naked

different people have different was at looking at them self and at others, like if you dont see yourself as attractive, you not going to want ppeople to see you naked, its all personal preference i think

That's a good question it's the human body everybody has one why can't we see someone else naked?

Because people don't like being exposed
clothing provides a physical as well as emotional barrier to the outside world

As far as parents not wanting their child to be naked around others
A) they don't want there child to be teased or mistreated
B) it's more the adults in the vicinity they're worry about considering I was molested for awhile when I was little and my first boss was making allot of sexual advances and wanted to see me naked at 15-16 I understand your average parent's stance

Yeah like kodie said, clothes are like a barrier and if your out in the open well those guys will get you. We'll just be primal all over again. Plus parent's don't exactly want you to have you legs spread eagle and pushing a baby out, but what can I say? That would make me a massive hypocrite. Still some people need that barrier because of low self esteem, past abuse, etc.

Well it is not going to change, its been in our...roots wayyyy too long. And it is a societal component now.
If you have ever watched shows like Going Tribal, you might notice that their society does not utilize "clothes" per se, and thats because their society...doesnt want/need/ whatever them.

So I mean, I don't have a problem with nudity....that much.
For the reasons we do wear cloths I understand and accept. It is really just how you are raised.
However your values are taught. How you are nurtured.

Well personally for me i dont like to be seen naked by anyone. I think clothes show a way to protect one's self. Because we know kids tease. So if your boob is smaller, your penis is shaped a little funny, or your nipple is a little funny looking no one gotta know.
For me i dont see nudity in private with a person you trust a problem but unintended is just not me. I dont like everyone to see my mushroom tower and two domes.

I dont know why. i dont care if anyone sees me unless my parents :-( and i am kinda weird i like to see people nude it is natural.

I dont mind (i dont crave either) people seeing me naked, or me seeing people. Our swimming pool only has 2 cubicles and my friends are always like 'go in a cubicle, theres kids and dads out here', but they dont seem to understand that i dont care... so what? they're naked? Big deal!

When we went to france there we french, spanish, italian and german people there to and they got changed on the beach... They let their kids run round naked aswell! I think in England, i dont know about the USA, we are too scared about pedophilia... 9 times out of 10 no one will be watching your child when you are with them.

I think there are multiple reasons that vary from person-to-person and family-to-family. As for not wanting to, some of the possible reasons I can think of are:
1) Pedophilia and other crimes becoming more common nowadays and more frowned upon
2) People want to have some barrier and removing the clothing is physically stripping a barrier people find comfort in
3) In some areas, it's socially unacceptable, in others it's socially acceptable (if more people don't run around naked, chances are a parent will follow the majority)
4) I assume it could be taken as being uncivilized

And there are possibly many other reasons

I agree it depends on the society in which you are raised and to an extension of that the family your a member of

Like personally I don't care if friends or fam see me naked
But i'm not going to go frolicking down main street either

I think a big thing is body insecurities and the fact that parents don't want their children exposed to others. That's them protecting their kids.

Agreed but usually its a catch 22
it protects them from pedofiles and such but leads to allot of insecuritys about ones body

personally i love being naked, i have nothing to hide, i can care less who sees me family or friends, then again im not running down the street naked so its all about how ur raised in ur household in my opinion, however you see your body and if you appreciate the wayy you are then you can be like me, but there are people who hate themselves and the way they look and appreciate the fact taht clothes were invented...

I don't like being seen naked >__>
I really hate people looking at me in that way, especially perverts.
And also, I feel ugly so there's no chance in HELL I would get naked for just anyone.

I really don't mind being shirtless around the house. But, I would never go out in public like that. There are many things I wouldn't do and that would be to be naked in front of someone. If I just got out of the shower, then that's fine. But, I want to make sure I have a towel on. I'm not comfortable going out in front of someone, anyone, just bare naked.

I can handle something like walking around without a shirt but when it comes to being naked I can't stand it. I just think people should have some decency and put something around them.

I firmly believe that the cover up cover up thats indecent thats disgusting coupled with the air brushed models is why people feel so insecure and why bulimia, anorexia, etc... are spreading like wildfire. (i'm no better I'm pale, i'm weak, i'm ugly and i'm getting a belly :( )
If you're raised to know that your beautiful, your normal, theres nothing wrong with the human body then there would be allot of people out there with a really strong self esteem base to build on in there social and professional life

I'm not saying run around naked 24/7/365
Just if it was less taboo
if there were fewer Mothers against -insert what there bitching about now- groups
etc....
We as the next generation would be better off both physically and emotionally

I also firmly believe the western education systems firm emphasis on the mind and ignoring the body is horrible
that combined with fast food and sugar = sky high obesity

I hate my body and I would never be naked in front of anyone until I get at a point where I am comfortable with myself. My family hasn't even seen me without a shirt on in about 5 or 6 years.

as you get older, it becomes a less big deal. I love going to the nude beack because being nude is so chill, so freeing. I think parents just don't want to have "over stimulated" children.

I don't know. And I think most parents don't care. I think if they found you with soft pron they would care just because they don't think about it and it is just porn to them and they think little jimmy can't look at this smut. I know for a fact my parents don't I see R movies which have lots of nude seens.

Man is created to be free of clothes. Adam and Eve were naked. When they've sinned against God by eating the fruit of knowledge, they felt ashame. Just like all of us, we hide when they commit sin. Society will not accept public nudity. People need to see through the eyes of God, meaning to love and accept each one as they are no matter what. Once everyone loves anybody then we can be naked again. For the mean time, nudity will be seen as something outside the normality. I hope my little opinion inspire you to see everyone with love, the way God does.

1) I won't debate you on how it's absurd to take that stuff literally, it's another thread in itself.

2) Shoes keep us from getting our feet cut up. Clothes keep us warm. Hats look good. All that stuff.

This all depends in a persons faith or belief. I, myself, have no really faiths or beliefs or any of those things. I have no problem seeing people naked, since it is only a piece of flesh; no different from their arm or leg. But society has brought up it's standards/morals to make it seem harsh and obscene. I'm not telling anyone to whip out their penis in public in support of nudity but neither am I saying to be in shock if you see someone naked.

1) If you dont want to engage in debate then dont say its absurd.

2) he has a point, being naked is fine, but it would never work in the world we live in today... it is designed for clothes

Well thats you
Everyones views will vary on a topic like this because allot of people are raised in differing environments
Personally I don't care my family has always been very open about nudity and sex
I've seen my sister naked shes seen me in the buff
I've seen friends naked and vice versa (me and Rudi share a bedroom and have done for close to 2yrs he sees me naked at least twice a day)

Being nude doesn't mean sexual thats two completely different things
I'm not saying you should be running up and down the streets in ur birthday suit
but I don't get the big deal about change rooms
someone wandering in while ur showering etc....

You shouldn't go out of your way just to be naked
But you shouldn't be ashamed of your body either, its who you are, and at our ages now we'll never be this young, or attractive again.
So why feel ashamed of what you have?
because 10yrs from now you'll give anything to have it back

Oh and
nice sig

Yeah that's exactly how I am. I dont like to go into the cubicles because that feels furtive as if you've got something to hide. I dont have a great body or a huge dick or anything but I've got nothing to hide.

We go to France most years. Swimming pool locker rooms dont usually even have cubicles. We're very hung up about things sometimes

I think people care if they are seen naked because we were brought up to think that certain body parts are shameful. I'm alright with being topless. For some reason, I don't think boobies are shameful. I think most people think the nipple is the offensive part, but it's just a nipple. I couldn't care less about people seeing mine. My vagina, well, I don't care if some people see it, but just not everyone.
