Andy has a point there, people know the shoutbox exists, just they choose not to use it all the time.

Its really up to the community to make it more active. From what I can see, if someone goes in the chat, usually someone will follow, then more people join in as they see more people there.

To make the chat room active all it takes is 1 person to step up and go inside, and waiting for someone to come in... then its like a snowball effect.

It really depends on the day also. If it's a weekday then people aren't going to want to be on with school and work and other things. On breaks like this, it would be PERFECT!

So if you want to adverise you can put it in your sig, or log into the chat room and invite people to come and join you via PM or Shoutbox.

But generally people join :D

Most of the seasoned VT members have moved past the chat room and onto other forms of communication such at MSN, AIM, Skype, Yahoo etc. There have been... interesting occasions in Skype parties. ha ha.

TeamSpeak used to be big aswell
for me and my friends on here anyway

The forum, the chat and the shoutbox usually just get it going
then other methods take over
