Safe thing to do is to copy it so you can hold onto it and just paste it if you get logged out, or write it on a different and paste it. VT has this kinda for security. And also, if you walked away, because thats what VT thinks you may have done, then someone else could walk up to your computer and see all your posts and everything... which I dont think is prolly your most anticipated thing.

I feel your pain. Often, I'm either multi tasking, or double checking something and the server times me out, too. Fear thee not, All is not lost! Re sign in, and hit the back button twice, you should get back to your 'post' screen and hit the submit button once and you're good.

Ditto :(

After no activity for a long while, vBulletin (not Virtual Teen), will logout a user. The only way that I have gotten past this for the past year is by previewing the long post every 5 minutes or so, which is a pain, but it works. I've forgotten about doing so sometimes and I lost everything each time.

I'm sorry, but without a modification, there's just nothing that can be done.

vBulletin will automatically log someone out after 15 minutes of inactivity, however if you check 'Remember me' when signing in, it will keep you logged in at all times, even if 15 minutes has past.
