Its been about 2 weeks and I've gotten roughly 2 hours of sleep a night. I go to bed at 10:30, then the next thing I know I look up at the clock and it's 4:00 am. A few moments later I fall asleep.
This has been my nightly cycle for the past 2 weeks. I tried doing everything, I'm 99.99% sure this problem is not due to stress or anxiety or any other reasons people normally can't sleep. It came out of nowhere, nothing happened, nothing exciting will happen, its just been a normal month but my insomnia came out of nowhere.

I've had that happen before...I think you actually fall asleep but don't really realize it...that's happened to me before... I'm pretty sure that's it.

I think I understand what you are saying Jkay...Is it like where you lay down and your mind is busy so you feel like you are still awake and then a little while later you look at the clock again and it's 4am? is that what you mean? cuz if so then I know exactly what you are saying. And I think you actually fall asleep and don't even know it.

Look, because of what I do, I end up staying awake a long time during the night - thinking about conferences and whatnot. I must say that actually staying awake from 10:30 to 4:00 AM does not seem like a blink of an eye. It seems more like an eternity, as sleep never comes. What you are probably experiencing is deep thought, where your mind doesn't slow down and you actually skip the dream-state of mind. When you are in deep thought, you can fall asleep, wake up, and not even realize that you fell asleep - you might not even be tired. This has happened to me about three times when I was younger.
If you don't get extremely tired during the day, then you are actually getting a good bit of sleep, however, because of this deep thought, you might have a large amount of mental stress. I strongly recommend that you take a sleep aid so you can relieve any mental strain you might be experiencing.

i agree with ark
hmm... i ihad that happen b4.. if u cant fall asleep dont stay in bed..like drink a glass of milk and/ watch tv til u get tired... they say u shouldnt stay in ur bed cuz its for sleep only and staying there awake will kinda..fuck it up or something
thats what im told
try to use the bed for sleep only... close your eyes when u want to go to sleep..and eventually you should fall asleep.. if that doesnt work, maybe u should see a doc for some advice
search up insomnia or something and see what they got for u to do about it.
hope i helped
