I think marijuana should be legalized, tobbaco is way more harmfull than marijuana. Annual drug deaths: tobacco: 395,000, alcohol: 125,000, 'legal' drugs: 38,000, illegal drug overdoses: 5,200, marijuana: 0. Considering government subsidies of tobacco, just what is our government protecting us from in the drug war?

well just considering how bad maruijuana has screwed up my life (not MINE but effected me) I have to say absoloutley never no way

it has caused the death of my real father: he was found dead on the side of a river in california while camping . . actually they found him face down in the river floating down it. They told us he was high when he went to bed and went to sleep on the bed of the river.. tthe river got higher and pulled him in . Dont try to say that will never happen because stuff like this happens all the time.

i think it should be legalised, its now become something that is not even enforced properly all the police would do is confiscate from you. if leagalised the governments could make extra revenue in the form of excise tax, like they do on ciggarettes and alcohol and also save police time and money. win win situation.

i feel that is should be both legalised and kept as it is:

for keeping it as it is: it might take people out of reality. it will mean that possibly peoples intelligence will go down ect, and then there would be a new serious problem with those who have depression-like illnesses (like alchoholism), thats just that, but thats always going to be a problem, even with choclate!


for it, well it means that people wil be more relaxed, laid back, but then again this at risk of being in reality. there is just alot of things that have been said before in similar threads that i would be repeting

ugh its a shame that they dont haev the no public places at all. here, i walk by one of the pubs in my town (my town has about 25,000 in it, and there is about 12 pubs!!!), outside it i walk by and i breath in and for the whole evening my trought and lungs feel dry if i get enough of their smoke into me. its hell

i am very sorry about your father and please dont think i am being insensitive about it or anything but i dont think that would solve the problem. alcohol kills, cigarettes kill, eating too much fatty foods kill. many things in this world kills and we are using them everyday of our lives without a second thought, and it is unfortuante when it does happen, however making something illegal cant put a stop to it. if we are to move people away from drugs etc. it needs to be through education. smoking is now becoming a very unsociable and disguisting act by educating our youth. we see pictures of the damage it does and effects it can have, and i believe that is the way to prevent deaths.

Well, lets see...my mom smoked when she was pregnant with me... (and all of her other kids, she was 13 when she started... :shock:)
I was born a month and a half early and i nearly died...

i saw this thing in health class they showed us a heavy smoker, a non smoker, and a casual smoker who was a docter (smoked about twice a month)

the casual and heavy smokers were almost exactley the same
