ok my step father came in the house last night, drunk, threw a plate at my mother, and trashed the house.i had to pull my pocket knife on him and force him out of the house and i dont feel anything today.should i be feeling anything?is there something wrong with me?

EIther you're numb to all this (if it happens frequently that he gets drunk and loses control), or maybe you're suppressing the feelings because it's so painful.

Whatever reason, though, it might be a good idea to recognize that dad being out of control like that isn't a good thing, and that aside from having all those feelings about it (and maybe talking about it, too), you and mom should try to come up with a plan to deal with this sort of thing. And maybe include him in it, too, when he's sober.
