I was diagnosed with BDD last year by my pyschiatrist. I know I must of had it for at least 2 years but I was only just diagnosed with it one year ago. It was really serious then as the condition led me to severe depression, paranoia and my self-harming.
But apparently it's getting better as time goes on :) yay.
But I don't think I actually realise it, aha. It's just gradually getting less worse. Though don't get me wrong, I do have days whereas this condition leads me in to having extreme emotional breakdowns :/ but no where near as frequent as they used to be.
Oh, and if you're unsure what Body Dysmorphic Disorder is, just google it. There's about a tonne of answers that come up :)
