Having. A. Crisis.

So on the 23rd of December I'm going a Christmas party with a few friends and staying overnight, right? But the thing is...
My best friend (Lets call him Friend X) likes my other best friend (Friend Y) and according to my other best friend (Friend N) Friend Y likes me, but the problem is I like Friend X. There's going to be a slow dance and Friend N said Friend Y wants to dance with me but I'd feel totally guilty because Friend X knows I know that he likes Friend Y and that I like him and that Friend Y doesn't like him in the way he likes Friend Y.

It's hard to understand, I know. But read through carefully, what should I do??

I know this is off topic, but there's also going to be alcohol there, and, well, if I'm somehow persuaded to drink... Well I act drunk enough, and I don't know what'll happen if I drink.

Don't slow dance with anyone. Otherwise it will get very messy, very quickly.

Hmmm...I think you have a week or so to straighten out what the expectations are btw'n you and all those friends of yours. I'd recommend you spend some time talking with them about all this so there's no misunderstandings, awkwardnes, or hurt feelings at the party.

With regrads to drinking, I'm not exactly sure what you're asking. Regardless of what you ingest, you really still are responsible for your actions, so act accordingly.

As far as drinking goes I woulddrink a little but not get totaly drunk

As far as i have seen drinking only can lead to more problems, so try and stay away from that path. Mabye you could help your other friend who likes the friend who likes you (thats the connection isnt it?). You might be able to suggest that the dance with ur friend instead of you, or try and pursaude ur friend to ask the person that likes you to dance with them.

well from what i read from your post it's a love triangle but every one likes someone different well this isn't going to end well considering 1 of you is going to get left out in the cold but i think sugar and spice is right as for the off topic question either limit yourself or dont drink
